WHAT COMES IN THE BOXES?

Each week we include an assortment of approximately eight different items including vegetables, fruits, and herbs. We grow interesting varieties that you typically will not find in the supermarket, including heirlooms, and we are always looking for the best tasting varieties we can find! Of course we are at the mercy of the weather, so we do not guarantee the contents of any particular box in advance.

Example box during Spring: carrots, cucumbers, green onion, strawberries, turnip, summer squash, garlic scapes, kale, lettuce, spinach, and cilantro.

Example box during Summer: cherry tomatoes, corn, bell peppers, eggplant, heirloom tomatoes, salad greens, cantaloupe, green beans, basil.

Example box during Fall: beets, broccoli, onions, radishes, tomatoes, butternut squash, kale, bok choy, fennel, parsley

WHY DO THINGS THIS WAY?

The CSA model provides both the share owners and the farm with benefits. The share owners receive a weekly box of our fresh, organically grown vegetables along with tips and recipes to get the most out of them. CSA members also get all the best stuff without having to worry about it selling out (think spring strawberries and the first tomatoes of the season!). In general, the share owner will pay less for the season of vegetables and fruits than they would by buying them all from us at the market each week. The farm benefits by devoting less time to marketing and sales during the busy growing season.
